Eliza Williams
Creative Arts Education Officer
Eliza grew up in Cambridgeshire and moved to London in 1998 to go to university and she graduated in 2001 with a BA (Hons) in Media Studies and World Theatre. While studying she decided she wanted to combine her love of the arts and a fervant desire to work with people as the choice of her career path. She then stage managed at the Soho Theatre and on a variety of community theatre productions across London before taking up the role of Community Arts Assistant for the Arts Development Unit of the London Borough of Bromley. Before long Eliza was promoted to full time Arts Development Officer and enjoyed delivering community arts projects and developing arts activity for Bromley for 3 years. Eliza has a passionate belief in access to the arts for everyone and it is this belief that lies at the heart of all her work.
Eliza is now NewVIc's Creative Arts Education Officer at
Stratford Circus, where she thrives upon the variety of her
currect work which ranges from schools festivals to arts
in health projects to setting up the Circus programme of children's theatre
(starting in September), and she loves the diversity of working
in Newham and the vibrancy and atmosphere of Statford Circus.
