East Festival at Circus Eats
For the EAST festival 2009, Circus Eats celebrates the cultures of the East End by dedicating its menu to international flavours and fusions; using dishes from Africa, the Caribbean, South America, Europe and Asia as well as traditional East End dishes such as salt beef bagels, smoked salmon and pie and mash with liquor. Alongside the food, there will be a combination of live music, performances and special events throughout the festival.
Thursday 5th March
The launch Night
To open the festival Circus Eats is hosting a modern East End seven course tasting menu accompanied by specially selected international drinks. Classical music will be provided throughout the evening by a celebrated pianist.
Friday 6th March
A night of impromptu theatre
Circus Eats modern East End menu along with guest appearances from Stratford Circus’ Saturday Club ensemble, who will bring you a night of impromptu theatre whilst dining. The evening will feature installations, interventions, performance and music, presented by East London’s finest emerging artists.

Saturday 7th March
Circlets programme
As usual Circus Eats offers a menu for all ages, the Saturday papers and a children’s area.
An evening of live music in partnership with Urban Development
The café bar will showcase a new night of raw talent with Urban Development’s Vocal Collective to entertain you while you eat or drink.
Stratford Circus UPfront East artistic programme presents an evening of magical frolics from comedy magician Christian Lee. Food is available pre and post show.
Sunday 8th March
The big family roast and ginger bread party.
A day dedicated to the family, Sunday papers, children’s area, ginger bread men making and the traditional Sunday roast.
Music Showcase
In conjunction with Newham Sixth Form College we feature a night of new writing and talent with an Indie sound.
Tuesday 9th March
Roberta Taylor
Roberta Taylor will be reading from her gripping first novel ‘The Reinvention of Ivy Brown’, tickets available from the box office. Food will be available through out the evening.
